Thank you for your interest in attending Waverly Community Schools via Schools of Choice. Waverly will be participating in LIMITED schools of choice for the 2025-2026 school year. Students are eligible for Schools of Choice if their parent/guardian resides in any of the following counties: Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Livingston, Shiawassee, or Washtenaw.

This online application needs to be submitted by June 20th, 2025 at 4:00 PM. The online application will automatically close and any applications that are not complete, will be discarded and not considered for SOC placement.

In addition to completing this online application, you will need to provide one (1) proof of residency document. This document can be a current Lease Agreement, Mortgage Agreement, or current Utility Bill. The proof of residency document must show the parent/guardian’s name and service address.

Residency Documents can be turned in:

• In person at Waverly Administration Center – 515 Snow Rd., Lansing, MI. 48917 (By appointment only or use the secure drop box by the front door)
• Fax to (517) 321-8577 Attention: SOC Registration. Be sure to include your student(s) name.

Reminders:

• Each student must have their own individual SOC application.
• Transportation of Schools of Choice students are the parent/guardian’s responsibility. Your student is expected to arrive and depart school at the designated time and have regular attendance.
• Waverly Community Schools reserves the right to reassign building placement for any non-resident student for current and subsequent school years.
• All information provided to Waverly Community Schools in this application must be true and correct. Providing any false information on this application may be sufficient grounds for denial.

This is where the student resides most of the time. If a student lives with both parents/guardians who are separated, either address can be used for residency purposes. You will need to provide a proof of residency with this address listed.

If your student’s application for Schools of Choice is accepted, and your student is eligible for special education programs, services, and accommodations through an IEP (Individualized Education Program), under the requirements of Section 105c(18) for the State School Aid Act of 1997, actual enrollment cannot occur until Waverly Community Schools reaches a written agreement with the school district in which you reside. This agreement is only needed for residents of school districts outside of the Ingham ISD.
